7 issues, each c. 24 pages plus wrappers. Text in English. Woodcut illustrated yearly patent medicine almanacs issued just prior to, during and shortly after the American Civil War.
Publisher's woodcut pictorial paper wrappers which include two females and a native American with family before his teepee. Consecutive annual issues included in this lot are: 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864, 1865, & 1866 (total of seven years).
Lot is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Lot is not new or in "new" condition.
Bindings age worn as typical, various typical curled corners, edge tears, staining, etc. yet remains overall attractive individually and as a lot. Original holes at top of each to allow for string ties to hang almanac for consultation.
Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Lot displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
