Period full leather binding, raised bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather labels, marbled edges and end papers. Early owner's name in gilt lettering on cover: Augustus Dickerson.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding well age worn, joints cracked rendering front cover loose, lacking bottom panel of spine leather, remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
