Fine and uncommon original old 19th century lithographed German map with original outline hand color.

Scarce folio sheet mid-19th century map. A large chain of mountains in the middle of the continent is labeled "Mountains of the moon" in German.

Map remains well preserved, mostly light signs of age, moderate scattered age spotting as seen. Paper and map image remains overall clean & sound, blank margins and edges a bit darkened, map will look nice once displayed.

Old maps & prints often display small minor repairs on the back, could have uneven blank margins, might have extraneous fold-lines or other small minor age flaws which do not detract from the visual appeal or value. Condition is carefully considered in arriving at our price.
