(Old Maps, 19th Century Maps, Americana, American West, Arizona, New Mexico, Pimas Villages, Fort Fillmore, Topographical Maps).
Issued 1855, Washington, D.C. by the Government Printing Office. Map by H. Custer.
Mid 19th century lithographed topographical map. Very large, over 3 feet wide.
In addition to all the terrain details, several early wagon trail and emigrant roads are shown.
Map printed surface is clean, fresh, typical Gov. map paper which is lightly browned with some splitting along fold lines, tiny bit of loss at a couple fold line intersections, overall nicer than typical and worthy of display. Large map should be handled carefully but is still sturdy enough for unfolding.
Original fold lines as issued.
Sheet Measures c. 26"H x 39 1/2"W.
