Kingdom of Denmark sea monster 1719 Chiquet attractive engraved antique map

Note the large sea monster in the waters. Large decorative vignette title lower left includes an armillary sphere, instruments of scientific measurement and a a star globe.

Original early 18th century copper engraved map with original outline hand color.

Overall, remains a nice looking example with pleasant age patina.

Sheet size c. 8 x 11”. Engraved area c. 6 1/2” x 9”.
