(Europe, British Isles, England, London, City Plan, Bird's Eye View, Thames River, Westminster, Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral).
Issued 1829, London by Thomas Hurst & Edward Chance.
Charming early 19th century panoramic bird's eye city plan of London during the 16th century.
Lovely and highly detailed hand color.
Key within 2 boxes and top right identifies important buildings, palaces, and churches, hundreds of which are shown in perspective style, including numerous sailing and tall mast ships in the Thames. Tower of London is seen at lower right, St. Paul's Cathedral dead center, Westminster Abbey lower left.
A very nice looking example, pleasing age patina, artistic coloring, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
