Issued c.1720-30, London by Herman Moll, J. Bowles, P. Overton, T. Bowles & J. King.
Fine and monumental near wall size early 18th century engraved map, with original outline hand color. A large allegorical title cartouche bottom left features Bacchus, and Athena, (the god of wine & the goddess of war & wisdom), beside a large royal coat of arms.
Poor condition, numerous old paper repairs along fold-lines on reverse to re-inforce, some old damp staining, repaired tear, etc. Despite the physical condition, map still displays well visually and retains a noble appearance making it entirely worthy of framing for display. Priced to reflect condition.
Sheet measures c. 25" x 39 3/4".
Printed area measures c. 23 3/4" x 38 1/8".
