Beautiful mid-19th century antique city plan, with original outline hand color. Depicts the Fire Districts in red, Ward boundaries in yellow and railroad lines as tracks. Vignette lower right depicts native with sophisticated gentleman in top hat, eagle and sailing ship. Endless sounding depths in rivers, many tiny specific buildings placed.
Light uniform paper age toning, original fold lines, several small well done tissue paper repairs to foldline intersections on reverse, remaining clean - a pleasing and well preserved map.
Sheet measures c. 29 3/4" x 23 1/4".
Printed area measures c. 28 1/8" x 22 1/4".
