Beautiful over sized early 19th century folio sheet map. Engraved with lovely original full hand color, highlighted in outline as issued.
North American interior west of the Mississippi only labelled Louisiana (Territory) and New Albion, no hint of interior terrain west of the Stony Mountains (Rockies) which appears to have a clear wide passage through the middle of it allowing for ready east-west travelling.
