Scarce large scale early 20th century color lithograph map from an uncommon folio atlas.
A very nice map with a profusion of fine details. Almost monumental in feeling, nicer than typical for the era. Great map capturing the entire region during a transitional era in the early 20th century. Various Colonial powers still own/ control areas including Portuguese East and West Africas, Protectorates, German S.W. Africa, etc. Boundaries of the Provinces constituting the Union of South Africa are shown in red by key below title.
Well preserved, nice looking example with pleasing age patina.
Original center fold as issued.
