Uncommon mid 19th century large folio engraved map with original hand color. Celestial diagram inset within the bottom cusp between the spheres.
An enormous bold apocryphal Mountains of the Moon is shown in the center of the African interior. Louisiana Territory occupies much of the American central interior, Oregon Territory is named in the Northwest
Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina, some minor light spotting scattered about which in no way detracts. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.
