Scarce large scale early 20th century color lithograph map from an uncommon folio atlas.
A very nice folio sheet map, well printed, not to be confused with the endless much smaller maps of this era.
The historical moment captured locks in the wide assortment of transitory boundaries across the continent which were in the midst of a rapid transformation and transfer of ownership. Small color coded key bottom right lists six European nation possessions, including Italy, Portugal, Germany, Britain, France and Spain.
