Attractive antiquarian 1/2 leather binding, raised bands, gilt title lettering, marbled covers & end papers, t.e.g. 

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. An early collector owner has book check-marks and some underlings throughout the work as it appears they were using it to assemble a collection.

Binding gently age worn but still appealing, leather, joints and extremities scuffed and rubbed but still supple, remains overall attractive as a physical object of this era.

Text block paper is age toned as typical, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but does not look like a new book. This is an antique old book which has been handled over the past many decades.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
