1781, Amsterdam, Wed. Pieter Mortier. Four folding copper engraved plates. Early / period hand-stenciled paper wrappers.
"Description of the City Hall of Amsterdam, with a Declaration of the Zinnebeeldige Figures and Paintings, etc that are found both inside and outside of this lovely Building."
Well preserved little pocket guide to this key public building in the heart of the city. By one of the major cartographic publishing firms of the 18th century. Three of the views are urban prospects with pedestrians and architecture.
Overall well preserved, still sound and tight, some corners slightly dog-eared, likely re-cased long ago. Apparently scarce.
Book measures: 6 1/4" H X 4" W.
