Late 17th century engraved map with attractive hand color. Decorative cartouche greatly enhances visual appeal.

Japanese islands at right edge, the mythical lake with five rivers coursing through SE Asia at left side above Pegu and Laos, Bengala, etc.

Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Lower left corner expertly paper cast with matching paper, the tiny LL corner of the neat line nicely re-instated (all but invisible if map is framed). Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.
