Lot x 4 Children's Books, by Harrison Cady.
Published 1929, Racine, Wisconsin by Whitman Publishing, Co.
26 pages. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout in color & line drawings.
Publisher's paper covered boards bindings, pictorial dust jackets on each.
Lot is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Lot is not new or in "new" condition.
Bindings gently age worn, due to inherently fragile bindings, text blocks have pulled away from the stapled spines as typical, dust jackets with various tears and edge wear, signs of handling but nothing offensive or severe, lot remains overall attractive as an object.
Paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Despite the obvious handling wear, for juvenile books of this era to retain their dust jackets is inherently uncommon. A very pleasing lot despite the wear.
Still attractive on the shelf. Books display a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
