19th century armorial full leather binding, slightly raised & gilt bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt title lettering on contrasting leather labels, gilt pictorial cover designs.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding age worn, lacks one spine title label, leather rubbed, joints cracked, covers still strongly attached, chipped at spine head (see pic), remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
