324, 9 pages. Text in English. No map at front. Scarce book in any condition.
Publisher's cloth binding, gilt title lettering, embossed cover decorations.
Staggering list of countless thousands of specific individual merchants in all areas of commerce in the middle of the 19th century across New England.
Book is over 170 years old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, joints slightly rubbed, small chips to cloth at spine head and a couple other places, small scattered staining to covers, remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, trivial tiny scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
