Sears, Roebuck and Co. Midsummer Sale Catalog 1923.
Published 1923, Philadelphia by Sears, Roebuck and Co.
100 pages + wrappers. Text in English. Profusely illustrated in mostly monotone line drawings (c.8 pages in color) throughout with countless hundreds (thousands?) of images of all sorts of goods .

The actual period advertising sales mail order catalogue.

Packed with great images which are like a time capsule of the era for what the typical American consumer would have owned or desired owning. Unlike modern reprints, this actual item from the time is printed on paper using inks and methods of production totally unique to the era which are totally lost in translation with modern reprints.

Most store mail order sales catalogues survive by random chance. Just like today, most were disposed of shortly after receiving or ordering from. All examples of any specific one should be considered fairly scarce, perhaps even rare, like this one.

Item remains relatively well preserved and attractive on the shelf. Fragile with some edge chipping, covers detached from booklet. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Some minor edge splits, light wear from browsing, clearly not new, but still quite nice, mostly clean.

Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique item survives.

Book Measures c. 10 5/8"H x 8 1/8"W.
