Period full leather binding, smooth spine, gilt rules, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather label. Old library book plates to paste down, stamps to title page.
Binding remains clean, tight, and sound, covers stained, small paper adhesions (removable with patience). Blank edge of title trimmed slightly (no loss of text), small hole in t.p. Scattered small soiling from thumbing and reading throughout. Someone seems to have repaired front hinge long ago.
Text block remains overall clean, and displays a pleasing age patina.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf for an 18th century American imprint still in the original binding. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
