571 [572] pages. Text in English. Publisher's catalog at rear. 3 engraved folding plates (couple with tears along the fold lines).

Scarce early 19th century medical science book in the original publisher's binding.

Publisher's cloth binding, marbled paper covered boards, deckled edged, old paper spine label.

Ex-libris, with old paper spine label, stamp to title page, plate on front paste down.

Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding age worn, rubbing, front joint split at top although covers remain strongly attached, remains overall attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently toned, original untrimmed deckled edges to text block, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
