Publisher's cloth bindings, gilt title lettering and pictorial spine decorations, embossed cover designs.
Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.
Bindings gently age worn, joints slightly scuffed, some splitting to cloth along a couple joints, all covers firmly attached, remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, final volume has several pages at rear with heavy creasing to top corners of text block, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
