Issued October 1813-1814; a scarce early 19th century reissue of the 1715 Visscher/ Covens & Mortier engraved plan (using the same engraved plates), dissected into 24 panels and linen backed as issued by publisher.
Linen fabric remains supple and well preserved, paper map surface is mostly quite clean, overall a pleasing and well preserved example.
Fine, large, detailed city plan with almost 300 specific buildings and key spots identified and located. Housed within original publisher's cardboard slipcase.
Beautiful early 18th- 19th century antique linen backed map with the fragile and rare original slipcase which displays the original title.
Light uniform paper age toning, original fold lines, remaining clean - a very pleasing and well preserved example.
Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" H x 37 3/4" W.
