Original quarter leather binding, cloth boards and printer's label on cover. Contains 50 engravings, including engravings by:
C. Tiebout (13).
B. Tanner (13).- American cartographic engraver.
W. Kneass (9).- early chief engraver to U.S. Mint.
H. Anderson (4).
P. Nicholson (2).
J. Kennedy (1) plus several others.
Very rare survival, most plates were either bound into the work or issued in thick plate volumes, this type of separate fascicle part rarely surviving as issued.
Front cover detached, spine leather dried and perished, light age spotting throughout, still appealing and desirable assortment of engraved plates by some of the most important early American engravers of this era.
