EXTRA ILLUSTRATED with 19 engraved plates, including a fine copper engraved view of Wilkes's Isle of Wight cottage and other related portraits.

Beautiful period 3/4 morocco leather binding, spine with raised bands, compartments richly gilt ornamented, marbled boards and endpapers, t.e.g, deckled edges. Letterpress text printed in different colored inks throughout.

In VG+, clean, tight, sound condition, light scuffing to edges, but overall clean and very nice. Dark green spine leather uniformly sunned to a most pleasing uniform chocolate brown, gilt remains bright. Very nice little 19th century book printed to appeal to bibliophiles.
