Beautiful mid-16th century antique wood cut map of this island country, with original hand color. Large sailing ship below the island, title in scrolled banner across top.

Map remains clean, sheet displays light old damp staining and small light scattered foxing, still pleasing visual example. Text around map and on reverse as always.

Sheet measures c. 11 3/4" x 7 3/4".

Printed area measures c. 3 7/8" x 5 7/8".
