Scarce 18th century engraved map of this English island and the near-by seacoast.
Map condition: Sheet toned, light offsetting, overall clean. Couple short closed tears middle right edge near inset tab.
Periodical contains accounting and political discussion of the American Revolution, Spanish Expedition against Algiers, a full page woodcut diagram of the naval military battle on 12 April 1782 between English & French Fleets, an engraving of a diving bell, Parliamentary discussions, etc.
map sheet measures c. 13 1/4" H x 16 3/4" W. Engraved area c 11" H x 14 3/4" W.
Periodical measures: 9" H X 5 5/8" W. [disbound, some loose pages, but complete].
