A splendid example of a beautiful Napoleonic book, the spine gilt stamped designs resembling celestial planetary seasonal rotations.

Napoleonic era French full leather binding, spine richly ornamentally gilt decorated in a splendid geometric pattern and celestial design, gilt title lettering on contrasting green leather label, marbled end papers.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book has acquired a unique mellow age appearance over the past 200+ years it's survived.

Binding gently age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, joints and tips slightly scuffed or worn down, old ink stain streaks down front cover from drips above book long ago (a minor accident of a sort from another time and era, back when writing ink was regularly moved around in hand held containers and could/ did occasionally spill, such as on desk, etc), remains overall attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently toned, still fresh, some evidence of old ink staining from above to some page corners near front (see video), trivial light scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight and sound. 

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
