Nice lot of ten (10) antique early 19th century engraved prints. From an unknown but obviously scarce source, among the relatively few engraved views of this region from this era.

All are visually attractive, mostly clean and nice condition, any age flaws or condition issues are very minor and easy to forgive or overlook.

Titles of the views are as follows:

Madjar of the Tartars Halting for the Night in the Steppes.

Cape of the Winds from the Excavated Chambers, in the Lofty Fortress in the Crimea.

Pretended Tomb of Mithrodates, called Altyn Abo by the Tartars, Near Kertchy, in the Crimea.

View of the Cimmerian Bosporus, from the Altyn Abo, with the Harbout of Lanticapoeum, the opposite Coast of Phanagoria, & the Appearances made by Antient Tumuli Covering the Bosporian Territory.

Tchetirdagh, the Mons Trapezus of Strabo, with the first appearance of the southern ridge from the Steppes.

Seraglio, or Palace of the Khans of the Crimea, with a view of the Charem.

Ruins of a Greek Chapel and Monastery, upon the South Coast of the Crimea, near Derykeuy.

Remarkable Promontory, near the Monastery of St. George in the Heracleotic Cherronesus; by some supposed the Parthenium; and among these Formaleoni.
