Old 3/4 morocco, raised bands, spine richly gilt decorated & lettered, cloth boards, marbled endpapers, t.e.g. Large folding engraved map frontis, single page engraved maps with original outline hand color, folding table at rear, assortment of line (wood engraved) illustrations throughout, some full page. Previous owners book plate to front paste down.

In Good to near VG, completely acceptable condition. Tight, sound, joints a touche scuffed and worn, in all a lovely bright example, worthy of any fine library.

Overall book remains good looking, clean, tight and sound.

Scarce thus in such pleasing, if not exceptional condition.
