Lot contains issues 5 monthly issues from 1931: February, May, August, October, and December. Each issue c. 250 pages, all with a profusion of illustrations and great period advertising. Contains endless ads (many full page color) for automobiles, automotive industry, personal health care products, soaps, toothpaste, food, soup, candy, travel,  etc

Five issues of this now very scarce and visually wonderful early 20th century periodical. It's the little known successor to Frank Leslie's Illustrated News, a major publisher of the mid to late-19th century.

These five loose individual monthly issues are simply packed with and endless array of articles focusing on many contemporary issues, such as unemployment insurance, managing medical bills, cards, business, honey from bees, and much more. Includes short stories by P.G. Wodehouse and Zane Grey.

A visual gold mine of graphic print culture from this wonderful Deco-era in America.

Books measure:  11 1/2" H X 8 3/4" W.
