Uncommon mid-19th century engraved map with original hand color.

Note the entirely empty interior, although the apocryphal Donga Mts. (Mts. of the Moon) are named and show as being one of the Nile sources. Lake of other lakes which do exist along the eastern region, etc.

Paper is age toned, small old ink speckles lower right, small scuff marks, light old creasing to lower left corner area, several short closed edge tears. Despite the assortment of age flaws as described, map still displays well as captured in the photos.

Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
