Anatole France Woodcuts LeGrand 1920's Art Deco 5 illustrated leather booksBrian DiMambro- Antiquarian Books, Maps & Prints
Monumental Art Deco full leather bindings, raised bands, all finely gilt ruled in outline. Top edges gilt, limited editions, hand-made paper, all woodcut images in two states.
Beautiful sound, clean, tight examples. Light surface scuffing to leather, but attractive inside and out. Thick heavy books, each being an odd volume from a huge set we acquired incomplete. Profusion of nice woodcuts throughout, many seemingly from the original woodblocks.
