Fine, remarkably detailed late-19th century antique engraved map with original hand color.
A map which exists in a long succession of variant states, each reflecting new discoveries and information as the century evolved and they were recorded on maps.
With inset map of Sydney and Port Jackson at bottom. Key at top left (below title) includes a list of discoveries made by dozens of specific early European explorers between 1840-1873, each also named and placed within the interior of the map where they visited.
Some minor, trivial toning, mostly along the margins, clean, fresh, excellent looking example.
