Better Homes & Gardens 1928-1937 Lot x 8 magazines many color ads fun!
Brian DiMambro- Antiquarian Books, Maps & PrintsBetter Homes & Gardens from 1928-1931. Lot of eight (8) issues.
All appear mostly complete (one has corner of one page torn away), mostly clean and well preserved examples of inherently fragile periodicals.
Most magazines of this era were recycled during various paper drives of WW II, all loose survivals constitute 1 in 1000 or perhaps much more. Wonderful extensive period advertising throughout, including many great full page color ads for lead paint, Wheaties, home cleaners, ketchup, food, all types of products, etc.
All issues are scarce and pleasing to browse/ read, together lot is utterly unique.
Short video captures condition much better than words. Please watch prior to purchase to ensure a clear understanding of the lot. Nicer lot than typical for the type.
Issues measure: 12" H X 8 1/2" W.
Stack measures: 1 1/2". Printed on coated paper, magazines are quite heavy.
