Charming early 19th century engraved map with lovely full hand color.

Note the bizarre configuration assigned to the northwest coast of North America, including a fantastical long island shape for Alaska. labeled here as being discovered by Russians. There is a vague nod to California as an island as well. Australia also misshaped with Van Diemens island shown incorrectly attached to the continent.

Original fold lines as issued.

Almost folk-art simple geography typical of the era.

Overall clean and attractive example, any age flaws are minor and don't detract visually.

Map displays well and looks great. Lower right blank margin trimmed way as issued to facilitate folding.
