Period 1/4 leather bindings, smooth spines, gilt bands, gilt title lettering, marbled covers, edges, and end papers. 

Several joints cracked but all covers well attached, leather scuffed with small chipping at ends, but bindings remains clean, tight, and sound.

Set remains attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
