Period embossed cloth binding, elaborate gilt decoration and lettering on spine, cover ruled and pictorial decoration stamped in blind. Some fading of gilt decoration, rubbing on cover. Any age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive.
Binding remains tight and sound, interior contents display a uniform age patina, and remain clean and largely free of spotting or foxing. A handsome volume with a pleasing shelf appearance.
