Each volume in this series is complete unto itself and stands alone, a collection of articles about a wide range of topics such as in this volume on telescopes, women, the history of speculation, famous astronomers, Cape Colony, pearls and pearl fisheries, etc.
Publisher's cloth binding, gilt spine decorations, embossed cover decorations. Binding remains clean, tight, and sound, short cloth split at base of front joint. Interior contents display a pleasing age patina, with some light scattered spotting throughout.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
