Brian DiMambro- Antique & Vintage Maps, Prints, Books & Gold Coins(Fashion Illustration- Women's Dress- Clothing styles- dresses)
Issued c. 1860-70's, Paris by Lefevre & Gaubaud for Frank Leslie, US.
Scarce fashion prints, created for what is today a relatively rare 19th century female periodical. Each print would have been the frontis for the monthly issue, all individual issues today being exceedingly uncommon/ rare.
Nice lot of six (6) mid-19th century fashion illustration prints. All steel engraved with original hand color.
All the images depict children within wealthy interior fashion settings. Includes a toy shop street view with a young girl holding her doll. All are beautifully rendered, lovely rich depictions with nuanced backgrounds.
All images remain visually attractive, mostly clean and nice condition, couple small minor corner paper chips, uniform paper toning as often seen, any age flaws or condition issues are easy to forgive or overlook.
Sheets all measure c. 11 1/2" x 7 3/8".
