Publisher's illustrated cloth binding, rear joint cracked, but text block remains clean, tight, and sound. Interior contents display a pleasing age patina, largely free of age spotting.
Early 20th century "humor" book, relying on mockery of Chinese accents. Interesting glimpse into Imperial attitude toward Chinese residents of British imperial holdings in China.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. Spine cloth darkened and splitting along joints. Still displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
