19th century 1/2 leather binding, raised bands, gilt decorated compartments, gilt title lettering on contrasting leather labels, marbled covers and end papers, top edge gilt. Front joint weakened and cracked, but binding remains clean, tight, and sound. Interior contents display a pleasing age patina, images and plates remain clean and bright.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
