Cream of Wheat Children Bobbing Apples Chef 1904 antique historic color print
$ 46.00

Cream of Wheat

(Smiling Black Chef, Racist Stereotype, Happy Children Playing Games, Bobbing for Apples)

Issued 1904, by Colliers Weekly

A visually appealing antique color halftone print.

It is an original pictorial sheet extracted from a scarce 20th century illustrated popular large format periodical.

Offered for the outstanding modern appeal of the printed image as well as the historical interest of the topic and how it is presented.

In Good [or better] condition: displays uniform age toning and small minor age flaws as typical for large paper sheets of this era. There may be light scattered spotting, possibly small minor edge repairs on the back with small pieces of archival tape. Any defects along the sheet edges and in the blank margins may be seen in the photos.

Please examine the scan closely as the picture forms a central part of the description. There is a zoom feature so you can inspect the sheet close up.

There is text on the back because it was extracted from an illustrated periodical from the 20th century. Great fun to look at both sides.

Overall, the image area remains clean and very attractive- absolutely appropriate for framing and display.

[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws].

**The type of wood-pulp paper used by the periodicals in this era is now somewhat delicate and needs to be handled carefully**

Great, unique old printed image entirely worthy of hanging for display or presenting to someone as a present.

Sheet measures c. 15 1/8" H x 10 1/2" W.

Printed area measures c. 14" H x 9 1/4" W
