An exceptionally uncommon map relating to the Crimean War issued shortly after its conclusion. A large detailed panoramic birds-eye view of Sevastopol at top right corner. Extensive key below the title at left identifies a further multitude of details.
Map shows extensive topographical detail, with roads, walls, specific buildings, terrain elevations, etc. The attacking naval positions are shown, as are defenses, key travel routes, etc.
Nice looking, pleasing example. Any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
