Pulley, Counterweight)
Issued ca.1790, London by C. Cooke
Visually fascinating and uncommon original antique engraved print. The images are rendered and arranged in a manner unique to this era. This style of image is simply not being produced today.
Printed in the late 18th century, on hand-made paper which has gently age toned & spotting from time & handling (as always) and displays normal minor waviness, but which remains sound, mostly clean & well preserved. Many paper items of this age either do not survive as well preserved as this example or at all.
In Good or better condition; normal uniform minor age toning to sheet as typical, and small staining or spotting. Overall the printed image is clean, well preserved and very attractive. Sheet displays a nice age patina which is the result of 200+ years time and the hand-made materials used to construct the paper and print it from an inked metal plate.
A picture is worth a thousand words. The zoomable image is a major part of the item description. Please examine closely, as what you see is what we will send you. [note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws ].
A little-known and fascinating antique printed image which any collector, dealer, institution or person of artistic taste would be happy to own and display.
