Fantastic Scrap Album c. 1877 Over 2000 wonderful color images chromolithography

106 pages. Approx. 2000+ cards and small scraps, all in chromolithography (over 400 large cards). 

Publisher's cloth binding, oblong format. Old oblong scrapbook album heavily worn, lacking spine, covers scuffed and well edge worn.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.

Splendid album with time consuming artistic compositions on many pages. Much nicer than typical for scrap book albums of this era. Many of the cards are clean and well preserved, some have old adhesion pulls to their surfaces. Priced accordingly, price is less than $1/ colorful scrap, so if all the lesser condition scraps are removed from the count, the net price is still around $1/ card or so.

Paper is gently toned, still clean, tight, sound internally.

Still attractive on the shelf. The book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present seem easy to overlook or forgive.
