Four stand alone volumes issued as part of a large set all uniformly bound, acquired incomplete and offered in small batches to facilitate ownership transfer. Perfect high quality shelf decoration at a fraction of the price if one purchased something similar newly produced.

Beautiful antiquarian 1/2 leather bindings, raised & gilt bands, gilt title lettering & compartment decorations, cloth covers.

4 volumes of a larger set. These volumes complete unto themselves. Titles includes in this set: Last Days of Pompeii (volumes 1 & 2, complete), Night and Morning, and A Strange Story.

Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.

Bindings gently age worn as always, mostly light minor signs of careful handling and time but nothing offensive or severe, set remains overall attractive on the shelf.

Paper is gently toned, still clean, tight, sound internally.

The lot displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present appear to us easy to overlook or forgive.
