Le Nature: Revue des Sciences et de Leurs Application Aux Arts et a L'Industrie, ed. by Henri de Parville.
Published 1905, Paris by Masson et Cie.
2 volumes, each c. 425 pages. Text in French. Profusely illustrated throughout with many hundreds of line drawings and photographs.
A remarkable compilation of endless inventions and topics across many fields and genres, including but not limited to: medicine & medical sciences, engineering, motorcycles, weapons, urban projects, birds, insects, natural history, nautical, architecture, electricity, ancient art & ruins, chemistry, on and on.
Period 1/4 leather bindings, smooth spines, gilt bands, title lettering, & compartment decorations, marbled covers & end papers.
Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.
Bindings gently age worn and lightly rubbed, covers are strongly and firmly attached, set remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, internally still clean, well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. This scarce set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.Â
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this wonderful pictorial set survives.
