Le General de Maud'huy

( World War I, European Military leader, Artistic Portrait Painting, Leader of Seventh Army, Scouts of France )

Issued 1915, Paris, by L'Illustration

A visually appealing vintage color halftone portrait art print. Mounted onto a thicker backing sheet with letterpress border & title, as issued.

It is an original pictorial sheet extracted from a scarce 20th century illustrated popular large-format French periodical.

Offered for the outstanding modern appeal of the printed image as well as the historical interest of the subject and how it is presented in this nice old image.

In near Very Good [or better] condition: displays light uniform age toning as typical for paper sheets of this era. There may be light scattered spotting, possibly small minor edge repairs on the back with small pieces of archival tape. Any defects along the sheet edges and in the blank margins may be seen in the photos.

Please examine the scan closely as the picture forms a central part of the description. There is a zoom feature so you can inspect the sheet close up.

Overall, the image area remains clean and very attractive- absolutely appropriate for framing and display.

[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws].

Great, unique old printed portrait image entirely worthy of hanging for display or presenting to someone as a present.
