Attractive antiquarian full leather bindings, smooth spines, gilt bands & title lettering.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. With an 1860 gift inscription.

Binding gently age worn but still appealing, old crease down center of spine from the book having been opened, leather and joints scuffed and rubbed but still supple, small chipping at spine ends, remains overall very attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, some lower page corners bent (see pic), various evidence of having been read like most bibles of this era, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
